HIW #9 – When time and the muses allow

I know I haven’t written much here lately but it doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing. In the new notebook I have over 75 pages done and the story is progressing quite well. I get the sense this will be my best story ever. It contains multiple levels of conflict and meaning. There might even be allegory and parable like qualities to the story.

How I write 8 – Layers, Like an Onion

Early on in the story idea phase (which lasted all of 20 minute I think), I had an idea to structure the book sort of like Dante’s Inferno, but in reverse. I had some crazy ideas about the world in which Myranda lives and the story takes place and that got me to start thinking about a lot of parallels and themes running through the book and the story.
